Its 1st January 2011. Looks more unique when you put it this way 1.1.11. Its the first day of the year that promises to be very exciting. Top on the list no doubt for most Nigerians is the general elections scheduled for April. Kick starting the process for this election is the voters registration which will commence this month. How ready are we to make this opportunity count?
Sadly though, our celebration was hijacked once more by some faceless cowards who detonated a bomb in the usually crowded mammy market of the Mogadishu Cantonment (Sani Abacha barracks) Abuja on new year eve. While the motive is not yet clear it is obvious that whoever they are, they do not have the interest of Nigeria at heart and we all must rise up against them for our silence and tendency to push it aside as something that should concern just GEJ or the Government only allows them to become more confident and seek other ways of hurting us.
Personally, i look forward to a very eventful year least of which is not the fact that on my birthday this year the date would be very unique 11.11.11. Is that not simply fantastic?
I thank all of you who read me and seek your continued support in the new year. Cheers.
